We had a milder winter in Dallas this year. However, some weeks ago we had record low freezing temperatures that lasted several days, which is not what you would expect in Texas ( it's true then when they say that "If you don't like Texas weather, wait a minute").
One of the things I enjoy the most during this month is the clear change of seasons. My home street, shown here, has these beautiful trees that grow thousands of white flowers before becoming green. I love this annual spectacle.

WHAt a beautiful picture Magdalena. We are nearing the end of our summer season in sunny South Africa. We certainly do not experience your harsh termperatures in SA. I have only seen snow twice in SA - once in 1966 and again in 1982. On another note, is there any quick way to dry the filler in a class situation? CAN I use a hair dryer or will that harm the filler?
ReplyDeleteHi Zett: yes you should have no problem speeding the drying process that way. Usually in my clases I just show them how to apply the paste but they do it at home so we don't need to wait for it to dry. We add the patina though, and if any particular area collapses when we polish the metal, we emboss it again before filling with the paste.
